THE IBJ

Curious about how we get from inquiry to your wedding day? Below is a look at my signature six-step process and FAQs!

01

Inquire

We’re so excited you’re considering us for your special day! Fill out our inquiry form, and we’ll reach out to discuss your vision and create your custom proposal.

02

Proposal

Review your custom proposal and all the fun details we think will be a great fit at this stage! We are not locked into these details, but rather showing some of the possibilities.

03

Contract

If you feel we’re a great fit (woo hoo!), your contract and retainer invoice will be sent to you in your private portal. Once complete, you’re officially on our calendar!

04

Planning

We’ll guide you through the planning process for the finer details, while being a support system as you plan other aspects of your day. From vendor recommendations to choosing the best details to fit the space, we’ve got you every step of the way!

05

Design

Approximately six months out, we’ll have an email consultation to learn more about your decor, colors, and wish list items. From there, the design process starts, which takes about 5-6 months. My perfected processes allow us to work on bite-sized pieces, so you can enjoy an stress-free experience!

06

Wedding Day

It’s time to marry the love of your life!

If you’ve added white-glove delivery services, we’ll ensure every detail is picture perfect and ready for your celebration!

Choose the more hands-on route? We’ll be celebrating your love from a distance!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • For couples who book the Something New collection (rentals, delivery, etc.) we will travel anywhere in New England. The minimum spend for this design route is dependent on the time and distance from my home studio and your services.

  • In order to provide the high-touch, luxury level of service and meticulous attention to detail that IBJ is known for, I do maintain a minimum investment for my wedding collections.

This minimum ensures that I can fully dedicate my time and creative energy to your project, acting as your true right-hand person throughout the process.

While my full-service collections have a set minimum and varying personalization levels, I never want a love story to go uncelebrated!

For couples who only need a few intentional pieces — like a welcome sign or a set of menus — I will be offering a curated selection of a la carte items in my shop (coming soon!). These pieces offer minimal personalization and are the perfect way to add a touch of IBJ magic to your day without the full-service commitment.

  • Not at all! As a general rule of thumb, I recommend booking 8-12 months in advance for signage or invitations only, and 12-18 months in advance for a full service invitation and signage suite.

This allows us plenty of time to plan, get acquainted and inspired, and ensure we have a seamless, exciting experience! Plus, the earlier you book, the lower your investment minimum is, as you lock in the current year’s rate through fall of your booking year!

During the design process, we will work together to create an intentional suite that reflects your style and what you need and want to see in the details. I also want you to see your sample kit before choosing exact services, as having these tangible pieces puts what you see on screen into perspective, which helps with choosing your favorite details and colors!

  • It depends on the exact time left and what you’re looking for! Generally, the closer we are to your day (within 3-4 months), the more restrictions we may have, OR the higher the price may be due to rush design and production fees.

With that said, I am the queen of making things happen, and I welcome “last minute” requests!

  • Heck yeah — in fact, we highly encourage it! Every wedding is unique, and we tend lean away from the “one-size-fits-all” approach.

We can stick with one package type (e.g. all semi custom or all fully custom) or mix and match (e.g. a semi-custom invitation paired with a fully-custom signage suite).

While we cannot mix and match with online items, you are welcome to order those at your leisure! These purchases do not go towards your investment minimum, as they have a separate, simplified process.

  • I sure do! Rentals are reserved exclusively for couples who book custom design services, as they require round-trip venue delivery.

I provide a selection of small and large mirrors, wooden holders, semi-custom wooden structures, floor and table top easels/holders, bud floral vases, accent small and large LED candles, accent hurricane vases and votives, signage lighting, and frames. All accent pieces are used to enhance your signage!

  • It depends! If you choose the semi-custom route, all details are yours to keep.

If you choose the fully custom route, all details will be picked at the end of the evening. After the wedding, I will mail customized pieces that can’t be repurposed to you, or direct your coordinator to package these specific details for you at the end of the evening!

For details that may be repurposed (e.g. card stock table numbers) or for any other paper goods (e.g. dinner menu, napkins, etc.), I will mail you keepsakes, so you don’t have to worry about saving any of these details at the end of the night. That’s just one of the extra perks that I love to provide to my couples!
